when harry met sally
I saw a real-life sally in action at the lunch line today.
As I was waiting for my sandwich, this guy walked up to the order-taker-dude and started asking him about their process for ordering potato chips, "because I prefer the plain ones, but they don't seem to have the plain ones in small bags. I even called Frito Lay's distribution center..." I thought, 'sheesh, this guy really likes those chips'. But then it got better (or worse): when his number was called, he asked the serve-dude "Did you cut it diagonally? Yes? Then I don't want it. You have to cut it straight, or the sandwich becomes inedible..."
I thought of asking him if he wanted the crust cut off...

How funny! This reminds me of the scene in Barbershop where the snooty guy makes an elaborate coffee order... and you know what someone said about him.
Do you think if I requested that they cut off the crusts, they would do that for me? I never dared ask. :-)
Mike,
That is too funny. It really bothers me that you dont indent your paragraphs, it just ruins the whole post for me /wink

Where are you, Senor Mike? I'm beginning to think you went on vacation in Aruba.
thanks for asking, Aggie. I was just so tired, and showing it by being cranky, that I decided to divest myself of as many non-work activities as possible. So I've just been working, reading and sleeping. I'll come back. I think.
I know everyone's waiting with bated breath!
Inded we are! If I don't have enough goofy blog posts and comments to read, then I might actually have to do some housework. Blech! Save me from that, please!
I'll give you a sexist question to answer... why are men so cranky? :-)
I could answer, but this is a G-rated forum... ;-)
Mike, I too have missed your posts. The proverbial question must be asked...
Doug, I saw slackmaster at church last night (at least, I think I did). I figured you couldn't be far behind, but I never spied you...
You did see him! He caught a ride with some friends, so that's why I wasn't around. We need to catch up.
These conversations would go a little faster if either one of you owned a telephone. :-)
Aggie, I don't understand... :)
And the even sadder thing is we all live within a few minutes of each other but spend most of our time talking on line ;). Mike, I heard rumor your might be posting more on these boards.....
Frank
This is so male of both of you. You probably don't talk to each other when you see each other in person. :-)
BTW, how about those Cardinals? Just reminding you that the good guys are still ahead.
well, we talk about our emails...
yeah, the Cards are good. Phils stink.
