why are men so cranky?
well, the sexist question was asked, so the sexist answer must be offered:
men are so cranky because God made women. They delight the eyes, gladden the heart and quicken the feet; but then, we still can't see our peril, and that just makes the cliff approach faster...
(The other possibility would be sleep deprivation. At least, that will put me over the edge.)

I would definitely have to agree with deprivation, but of another kind...
Crankiness comes from being sinners (yeah, I know ya'll know this, I'm just pointing it out). "Crankiness" is triggered differently and manifests itself in different forms depending on the person. To blame it on some outside factor than that is to avoid responsibility for our own actions.
Ok miss serious pants...
Obviously this calls for the wisdom that comes with age, and I certainly have that...age, that is.
V, to answer that men are cranky because men are sinners is like when I ask your father why some things are the way they are and he tells me it's because it's God's will. True, but not very helpful.
The true answer to the question as to why men are cranky is, of course, because they are male. It's in their genetic code. :-)
B-man, she's just being her usual contrary self. It's part of her IAP-ness.
Sheesh! I thought I was being diplomatic by not generalizing about men.
